If you have too many accounts and passwords to remember, writing them down and protecting them would be the best idea. Jpass provides a simple and easy solution for this. It lets you store usernames, passwords and personal notes in an encrypted database. You can protect everything with a single master password.

Jpass is a Java-based application and it doesn't need to be installed. You only need to download a ZIP archive, download its components and run the application. Obviously, you need to have the Java Runtime Environment installed on your computer, but there are no other requirements you have to meet.

The application comes with a compact user interface, which consists mainly of a list with your stored accounts. You can create new entries, edit or delete existing ones and perform other actions through a series of options, located directly above the list. To create a new entry, you simply need to fill in a series of input fields. You can specify your account's name, an address for its login page, your username and password and a personal note.

Jpass has its own password generator, which can be accessed directly from the entry creation window. The software can generate passwords with random characters and it lets you specify its length and what kind of characters to use. Once a password is generated, you can insert it in the password field, on the entry creation window, with a single click.

To prevent over-the-shoulder glimpses of your passwords, the application provides you with options for copying the URL, username and password from entry to the clipboard. Clearing the clipboard is another possibility and it only takes one click.

Keeping account passwords safe can't get any easier, thanks to Jpass's straightforward and efficient design.

Pros

You can store new information on the fly. The application lets you copy passwords and other details without showing them on the screen.

Cons

There are no issues to address.
